Him: I can’t believe this… how many more times are they going to regurgitate this crap?  It’s the same movie script over and over.

Me: This is the sort of uncreative things that we have to live with now that the technologically advanced generation is going to be taking over.  It’s either the same movie done 100 different ways or remakes of Goonies.  Pretty soon they’re going to redo Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and it’ll be horrible and I’ll have to kill everyone.

Him: Mmm… I guess.

Me: I think they should have named it Area 409 and made it a giant spray bottle going after everyone.

If you’re like me, you’re a child of the 90s.

Being a child of the 90s, means that I spent way too much time reading Seventeen magazine, wearing oversized hats and denim shirts and oogling Candies shoes.

I remember being a teenager and seeing this ad in print and wondering what fucking stupid ass ad exec said to himself, “you know what will sell shoes??? Jenny McCarthy on a toilet!!!”

I never bought a pair of Candies shoes in protest of this ad.

I kinda feel bad badmouthing her here for life choices she’s made because of all her work with Autism Speaks… but this is also part of the reason I decided to stay the hell away from Hollywood. Once you get yourself involved with something like this ad, you can’t go back.

Ever.

So Jenny, I think it’s great that you’ve raised so much awareness in your work but yeah… you can’t escape your roots: a horrible MTV dating show and this Candies shoes ad.

“Its the TARDIS.” I answered rather matter of factly.

I’m used to out-nerding people on a regular basis so when he asked, “What’s a TARDIS?” I wasn’t surprise.

“Its a blue box.” I told him.

“Well I can see that!!!” he replied.

“Ok, well then it looks like we’re done here.”

I’ve had my TARDIS keychain for about 2 months and I really have to say I’m disappointed in the amount of Doctor Who fans who HAVEN’T approached me about it.

Maybe I’ll have to start using my Sonic Screwdriver pen for people to really get the hint…

I’m watching the Pirates on TV and the Oakland A’s on MLB.tv because apparently having no idea what the hell goes on in a baseball game gives me a penchant for awful baseball teams.

It should be noted that as of now the Athletics are winning 4 to 0 over Boston… Oh… oh!! Whoops, make that 5, Weeks just scored.

The Pirates however, are still on the Quest for .500 and are doing a great job of continuing that quest by losing currently to St. Louis by like 1 or something.

For better or worse, I’m still wedding obsessed (See what I did there?).  I’m also now on Pinterest so my #whatwedding board is bursting with pictures of dresses and rings and ideas for centerpieces and crap.  Some people think I’m delusional.  I call those people “single” and continue to look at rhinestone hair pieces.

I got into a fight with my bus driver yesterday as I was going to work.  It wasn’t my fault.  The guy was rude to a little, Asian girl who could barely speak English and then really mean to an older gentleman and then was just a complete dick to me just because all 3 of us had the audacity to pull the cord so we could get off the bus.

I didn’t say anything when he was rude to the girl or mean to the man but honestly bro, if you’re gonna step to me you better be ready.  This guy’s best defense was to mock me and then told me he didn’t care that he was rude or mean.  I told him that yeah it was pretty obvious that he didn’t care and then when he blew through the stop that I had signaled for, I called him Mr. Know-It-All and got off the bus.

It’s cuz I’m a badass. :p

But really, what an embarrassment.  I’m not one to go looking for a fight, though my boyfriend will tell you that he can’t take me anywhere.  I just shoot from the hip.  I call it like I see it.  

All I said was, “Dude, oh my God, why are you SO rude to people?” I don’t think that’s aggressive or abrasive.  I think that’s just an honest question…

Jose “Tabby Cat” “No Way Jose” Tabata just hit a home run mking it 2 – 1 Buccos.  Unbelievable.

I miss Pens hockey already. I hear the guys at work (who are mostly American except the one Croatian guy who works with us) talking about Premiere League soccer and I get jealous because they still have a sport they love to talk about.  Then I realize that soccer is more American Hipster sport than I can handle so I turn on Arcade Fire and accept that I’ll just hate my life until October.

Staal is getting traded by the way.  If you’re a Pens fan and don’t like me writing that, LOL!  He’ll get bundled with Paul Martin and get shipped off to some team that Paul Martin forgot to put on his NTC and I’ll get upset because I actually kinda like Paul Martin but then we’ll get like… Rick Nash and Jack Johnson and some back up for Fleury and then I’ll be ok.

Or maybe the Pens will just get Jerome Iginla finally and everyone will shut up.
